Please read this to avoid being ripped off!! I had my ride on mower serviced at Melton Mowers, Woodbridge. It ended up costing well over £500 for the privilege (£340 for labour @ £34 per hour) which I queried when the bill was presented, seeing the hourly charge but was told '' that's what it is''. What concerned and angered me though was 8 weeks later when a new part that they had fitted broke. I called them to let them know that I could only assume the part must have been faulty because the mower had carried out very light and minimal cutting since the service. They were not interested in helping whatsoever and told me to take it up with the manufacturer directly, even though Melton Mowers had ordered and fitted the part themselves. I told them that it was them who would have the invoice because they were the client of the manufacturer so would they be kind enough to raise the issue with the manufacturer. ''NO, so what, not our problem. I'll order you another and fit it but you'll have to pay full price''. They were totally unhelpful, rude and bordering on aggressive. I have had the same mower serviced with a different company before (Bridges & Garrard, Framlingham) at a cost of £270 for very similar work and parts so knew a rough idea of the price I should be paying . Unfortunately the company who carried out the work have stopped doing the mower servicing, hence going to Melton Mowers. I WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST USING THEM to carry out any repairs or servicing. They definitely ripped me off, have no concept of customer service and are incredibly rude., should anything go wrong Unfortunately there is nothing I can do about the situation, other than write an honest review of my experience.
